Welcome to all who stop by! Admittingly, I am green when it comes to technical anything, so this is truly an adventure for me. I would still be completely happy and content to sit and write till my hand simply won't work anymore, and still do at times, because I think there is something to be said about a hand written letter; it's personal and knowing that someone took the time is a kind gesture to the recipient. But this is today, and my my, how the world has changed! Just in the past ten years, the changes we have seen are unbelievable, with technology being at the top.

     But, even though we live in this fast paced world, with all of it's amazing growth in all areas, I'm slowing it down, for the sake of self, for the sake of just wanting to live in the moment and enjoying the day, because whatever tommorrow may bring, and not that it isn't important because it is, but because we must learn to be content and happy in this moment. We spend our lives wishing for what can be, when we need to appreciate what we have right now.

     This blog is a reflection of my life. I named it, "Laurellyn's Whimsical World", because it best describes how I see it. It's not a perfect life. It's a life that has been built and rebuilt several times over, and the journey has many corridors, all which have created an incredible story of life and the love of life. I find life to be fascinating, colorful, and thank goodness at times, amusing, because without that, life would be dull! So this is a starting point and I wish it to be a grand adventure for myself and for all who may come across it. I plan to have fun with this. I don't want it to become a chore; I want it to be something I look forward to and with the hope of sharing, or passing something of interest on to someone else. This is my intention.
