I thought I'd give some info about me today. Have you ever said, "Do you know anything about me?", to someone that you assumed should know everything about you? Sometimes we are shocked that someone is completely clueless about who we really are. What? You didn't know that was my favorite color? You didn't know that my dream vacation would be to go explore Europe? This raises an important question. Do we truly know each other? As time goes on, we also change, so if we don't communicate well, we might be lying next to a stranger. I've found this to be true at times, but it just goes to show, we need to make time everyday to really listen to others, and in return share your thoughts and dreams with them. So here goes. Here is some things about me, some things from the past, some things in the present.
I am the second of six kids, the oldest being my brother, the rest are all girls. My Mother had us one right after another. My sister beneath me, died last year from a brain aneurysm. It is still surreal to me today. My parents worked very hard, but money was not abundant growing up. However they always met our needs. Dad would play cards or shuffleboard to make extra money, to pay for a small vacation, or christmas. He was good, so this became a norm, if we needed exta money. That's not something I recommend to you for extra money! We had a lot of love in our family, but there was definitely disfunction; alcoholism being the main culprit. I believe each and everyone of us grew up with reprocussions of what it is like to live in an alcoholic family. I don't like to speak for others, and it is touchy and personal, but mine has been extreme anxiety, stomache disorders, and occasional depression. I can be high on life, or I can be like, "What the Hell, God!" But with all that said, I love life! I've found what works for me and I've found what doesn't. This isn't a perfect, picture story life, but I'm making it my own, I'm walking out this life in a way that hopefully matters. Some would say, "Why does it matter?" Because it does! It matters what your life is to you, and to others. You matter! I matter! I'm a Believer in God, so I know I matter to Him, so with that said, I'm making it my mission to live the best way I can; not by works, but by living in a way that is good and honorable, and let's throw downright fun in there, because I've lived plenty of days without fun, and, "Guess What?", it's NO FUN!
So, currently these are the things that I've found in my life that I love and enjoy. Crazy as it may be, I'm a self-learner. What I mean, is that I'm a self-learner holic! Why? I'm not sure, but I find much in life to be fascinating, and I seem to have many things I want to do, to the point at times of not knowing what to do...a problem! I get frazzled! My fix sometimes is to just sit down and write, it seems to alleviate the frazzleness (that might be a madeup word), in my head. Other things, I love to do is walk. It's refreshing! Your breathing fresh air, you're taking in the sights and sounds, and you are doing something good for yourself mentally and physically. I haven't taken on jogging, but who knows, maybe I'll try it sometime. I also love to be creative! I'm not one of these cookie cutter types of the perfect color combination, the perfect matched furniture, or dressed in this years fashions. I have a very eclectic everything, and I like it that way! Although, I'm not opposed to all that matches, or the clean slate look, or a friend who is Miss Fashion. I appreciate it...it's just not me! Also by creativeness, I love to create from junk! Don't throw away that cereal box, or that toilet paper roll, because you will be scolded! Just ask my family members! Blogging is a new venture for me, but my creations will be out there for the world to see soon. Just be patient with me. My other loves are God, people, travel, and I love to plan and orchestrate parties and events, something else I plan to share with you. Oh, my favorite colors are yellow and the many shades of blue, especially the ocean tints of aqua, or teal, although I could change any day, I get bored easy!
Honestly, this is not even the tip of the iceberg! What's in a life? Not 300 words, not 500 words, not 1000 words, but an endless story. Stay tuned!
